This whimsical sculpture is made from eastern cedar. Each section is turned between centers on a lathe on 6 axes. The sections are then carved, torched and/or painted. Each section is then connected with a heavy wire making them movable.

These candle holders vary from the more formal twist of the one that is second from the left, to the more fun and whimsical forms. On some of the cherry and walnut, I have used milk paint and texturing. I enjoy seeing the natural beauty of some other woods.
These are all turned on multiple axes on the lathe. They are between 15 and 20 inches tall.
